¢ JUGI/COMPLEX
³Comments From the studio musician,
Andreas Stenhager:
¹
Ehhem. Excuse me, but since Diesel
just gave me 2 tunes from this guy
(sorry, couldn't find more!/Diesel), I
don't see how I can make a fair
judgement of his music.
General about the two tunes are that
Jugi knows how to handle massive
samples. 'Blowaway' is very nice
indeed, actually one of the best tunes
made by an Amigamusician(except from
Heatbeat). The bassolo is very funny,
I can't believe that it was seriously
meant, but made by a skilled musician,
it sounds very nice. The sax-samples
are also very nice, and in this type
of 'one-sample' orientated songs I
think Jugi varies the theme as much as
he can without making it strange.
The other tune, whose name I can't
remember, is quite much alike Blowaway
when talking about the one-sample
music. I think this is more seriously
meant and I think that there's more
job in this one (correct me if I'm
wrong). I can't say if the result is
better, but it is very nice and I
can't see why Jugi can't be one of the
very best musicians. Judging from
these tunes, he really is, actually.
¶³Diesel's comment:
¹I read Jugi's scroller while I
listened to his tunes. This guy seems
to be one of the most professional in
the scene! He says that 'the tunes
are nothing', and I actually believe
him even if his contirbutions are the
two very best songs I have ever
heard!! Sigh, why can't I play bass
like that? Just enjoy! Correct me if
I'm wrong, but I think that Jugi has
done the Gospel-karaoke song too. If
it's true, Jugi is one of my absolute
favourites all times!
